Midsummer is when the sun is at the peak of its power. This is the longest day of the year, and there are many beautiful rituals, ceremonies, and celebrations around the world on this day. From a small celebration like making a garden mandala with stones, flowers, herbs, and shells, to larger events like the Druid ritual at Stonehenge, this day is blessed.

The Summer Solstice spread can be done with Tarot or Oracle cards, and is a lovely reading to do as we move into summertime. I wanted to focus on the Light and Blessings of this time, and where we stand with them in our energy. Here are the meanings of the card positions in the reading:
Self ~ Where you are right now. What energies are around you, influencing you or your situation.
Light ~ What shines within you right now. Your power and how to tap into its maximum potential.
Blessing ~ What gifts and blessings you can be aware of and embrace right now.
Here are the Tarot cards I pulled for this reading:

Self ~ The Two of Wands card shows up when we have a spark, a light within us wanting to go somewhere. It’s an opportunity to expand beyond where we are, what we are familiar with, and to move into new and uncharted territory. We can travel, explore, or expand something in our life in some way. This card shows us that possibility is ahead. You have a creative spark and it is ready to bring out into the world. This card also is about the experience of having the world as your oyster. What is your spark of creation right now? Where can you expand? What would you like to bring into the world? Where do you want to go? This is a time to go for it.
Light ~ The Strength card is here to show you that you can let down your barriers and approach what is fearful. This opening up and embracing of your fear can help you to drop into your courage, and when you come at the thing you are afraid of in this way, it melts and gets closer to you. Since this card is ruled by Leo, this indicates that it can be powerful to approach something within ourselves that scares us, with an undefended heart. You CAN do this. You can step into your brave warrior aspect. This is one of your gifts, and is shining within you right now, ready for you to tap into.
Blessing ~ The Wheel of Fortune is a signal that something is coming, that change and evolution are on their way to us in a meeting of our free will and our fate, and that we are in co-creation with Spirit. This card is about the cycles of change. They key here is to stay centered. Stay in the hub of the wheel, fully present, in balance, and life will do the same for us. Don’t worry about the future, simply stay centered during times of change. Because this card is ruled by Jupiter, fortune and luck is part of the vibe of The Wheel of Fortune. This is your blessing right now.
Blessed Summer Solstice to you all!
