Most of you probably know the Sun sign, Rising sign and Moon sign in your astrological charts, but what do you know about your Progressed Moon?
The Progressed Moon moves through your chart about 1 degree each month, and covers a sign of the zodiac in about 2.5 years. It’s amazing how much influence on your thoughts, desires, feelings and actions the Progressed Moon can have on you as it moves through these phases, as well as events that happen in your life during the different progressions.
The Moon symbolizes the rhythm of day to day life, but the Progressed Moon tells us which things are likely to be a major focus in your day to day existence (what house the Progressed Moon is in), and the way in which you will approach or deal with them (what sign the Progressed Moon is in). Think of it as the shades you are looking through. You are still you, but the influence of the Progressed Moon is the skin you’re in during each sign and house it moves through.
Knowing what sign and house your Progressed Moon is in can be incredibly enlightening. It’s also super useful to know your partner’s Progressed Moon, so you can be more understanding of where each person is coming from.
You can find your Progressed Moon by going to Astro.com.
Follow these steps to access your chart:
1. Go to http://www.astro.com/
2. Register for a free account by clicking “Login” in the upper-right corner (if you already have an account, skip to step 8).
3. Click “Create a free registered user profile”
4. Fill in all fields and click “OK” (then click “OK” again – it makes you do it twice)
5. Click the last link on the page – “add new astro data”
6. Enter your birth information and click “Continue” (then click “Continue” again)
7. Once entered, your name and birth data should now appear under “Stored Astro Data”. Click on your name.
8. Now, click on Free Horoscopes, and on the lower-right hand column you will see “Extended Chart Selection”. Click that.
On this page, first you will select the type of chart you want. On the drop down menu that’s circled, you will scroll down until you see Progressed Chart, and click that, then “Click here to show the chart”:

Voila! You should now see your chart in front of your eyes.
9. Once you are on your chart page, look down to the list of planets below the wheel. The second planet in the list is the Moon, and what you want to see is the first number (which will tell you how many months into this progression you are) and the sign the Progressed Moon is in. Below is an example, and I’ve circled the Moon in the list:
