What is our Purpose? How do we get there?
This is a spread I creaeted from my previous post about the card The Moth, and the questions I asked at the end of that reading.
What do we want to know?
The Tides – I see an eye in the center of the card, with the phases of the moon swirling above and below the eye. There is an orb around the eye, with rays reaching up and down from it, with small orbs filled with stars. The upper half of the card shows us a dark night sky filled with stars, and the lower half shows a wild sea. There is light glowing under the sea.
So, what do we want to know? EVERYTHING! Why does the moon make the tides flow in and out? What are the stars, really? WHO AM I? What is my true purpose?
This card is an invitation to really SEE. Really look at what matters most to you, how you want to move through this world during the turbulence we are in right now.
The muted colors around the eye are like rainbow rays, reaching up and down. Maybe you are having trouble understanding how you can be an ally at this time. But you are reaching up and down, so you are seeking the highest and purest energy you can muster, and grounding it into the waves, but the waves are showing some strong emotions right now. Go beneath that and ground into the earth, there is light and calm there.
Centering ourselves is important, finding the stillness. Knowing there is a larger purpose at play here, and you are so much more than you think you are.
What do we want to create?
The Bison – Deep, rooted, grounded strength. Light shining through EVERYTHING. A world that is peaceful and respectful. The bison was the most important being to the indigenous People of the Plains. They had an understanding, and the bison freely gave the gift of food, shelter, clothing, ritual items, tools and weapons to the People. In exchange, the People honored the bison and there was even a sacred dance, one that was most holy, named after it (the Buffalo Dance), and the People took only what they needed, never wasting any part of this sacred animal, nor taking more than was needed for the tribe.
We want this sacred way of living in harmony to come back to us. To come back to the earth. See the bright shining sun behind the bison with colorful rays reaching up to the cosmos. This is how it was meant to be. We grieve a loss we don’t always remember, but we were all of the People in one or more lives, in one land or another, and we all live on land that inhabited a similar way of life. Our souls crave this sacred union and mutual respect with the Earth and all animals (and plants and trees) that live upon Her.
How can we cut through the bullshit and live the truth of our souls?
The Moth – Our friend the Moth is back to remind us that in order to cut through the bullshit we need to SEE. In order to live the truth of our souls, we need to SEE. And we CAN. We can see through the darkness that we have created as we got lost in this material dimension. We can see with our intuition, our inner knowing, touching the depths of our souls, if we truly desire to do so. Make a commitment to connect with your soul. You are not as lost as you think.
The Moth guides us through the darkness, as an explorer of the deepest parts of the cosmos, where we can find out true origins, illuminate it and bring it back into our consciousness. Into the light.
Ah, soul retrieval may be indicated here, as well.
The most important thing is to live your truth. Not the illusion of the truth that you think is your truth, but the real deal. Stop getting caught up in your mind’s game of right, wrong, fight, righteousness. Don’t be a “bible-thumper” about anything. Look to the most holy parts of yourself – not something written in a book or what you were told. the REAL you. You are divine. Remember that.
How can we navigate the shifts happening on earth now?
The Owl – Ah, another who can see through the dark. And this one is a fierce being – a hunter when needed, but also a wise being. The Owl sees even farther than the moth, but never gets lost in the light like a moth can. The Owl is the night bird. Flying higher than the moth, seeing farther in the dark, glowing in the moonlight. This is your guide to navigate turmoil and trouble.
Flying on silent wings, this is a gift to you. Get quiet. Know there is nothing scary in the dark. Nothing that can get you. Seek the stillness – the moonlit night is silent, still, and so peaceful.
You can glide through anything, safe and at peace.
Light a candle, sit in stillness before bed, and tap into the deepest peace and calm you can. Think of our friend the Owl, who calmly and quietly moves through the dark, nourishing itself, and touching the divine simply by being.
